OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL

SCHOOL CLUBS
National Honors Society: Within my school, I have been given the opportunity to be a part of National Honors Society. The main purpose of this program is to volunteer and provide help for other which is something I have always felt strongly about. I have been able to sign up to volunteer in and out of school which has not only helped myself but others as well.
Link Crew: For the past two years of high school, I have been selected to join Link Crew which is a program for mentoring incoming freshmen in high school. This program has pushed me to become a better role model for those around me and has provided experiences to make others feel that they matter.
Marching Band: For all 4 years of high school, I have been a huge participant in the music program. I have done marching band every year of high school and always worked hard within competitions and 12 hour practices. I have taken a leadership position within the club by being selected to be a Drum Major my junior and senior year. Because I was given opportunities to help members within the program, I am more confident and am more passionate about helping others.
VOLUNTEERING
Meals On Wheels: Meals On Wheels is a program that provides any aged citizens with supplies they need such as food and treats. Every holiday, my family and I have dedicated hours to volunteering by packaging food, organizing gift baskets, and more. We have always enjoyed volunteering for this program and is something I will personally continue going into the future.
Tutoring: Because I have taken part in clubs such as Link Crew and National Honors Society, I have been able to volunteer by tutoring others. I have mainly tutored in music because it is something I enjoy and I have helped others and provided better understanding.
Church: Throughout my life, my family and I have always taken a part in volunteering for our church. We have bought Christmas presents for homeless children, worked Fish Friday dinners as servers during lent, and have been alter servers during mass.
EMPLOYMENT
Airtime Trampoline Park: I applied for my first job when I was fifteen years old and it was to be a court monitor at Airtime Trampoline Park. Because my dad was one of the managers, my siblings and I worked there as our first job. As a court monitor, my job was to monitor the safety of others and make sure safety is put first. I was then promoted to be a GSA which requires working at the cash register and providing customers with information about the company such as current deals or plans the park had to offer. I worked there from June 2019 to February 2020.
Applebee's Bar and Grill: I am a host at the local Applebee's in my town and my job is to provide a positive experience for customers. Hosts greet customers and seat them, bus and clean tables, and create a steady flow around the restaurant. I have been working at Applebee's for over a year and have trained incoming hosts, earned recognition for my hard work, and developed many opportunities to meet new people.
HOBBIES
Music: I have always had a strong passion for music. Throughout my life, I have developed an understanding of myself by learning that I can play multiple instruments by ear. Playing an instrument by ear gives me the ability to be able to play an instrument without any music and just by listening to what the music sounds like. I am able to play things by ear with a flute, piccolo, piano, and ukulele. Music has always taken a huge part of my life and is something I commonly go to when I want to express myself.
Family: Family is one of the most important things in my life. My family means the world to me and is something I feel takes a huge part in who I am and what my values are. I consider this as one of my hobbies because I love spending time with my family and focusing on how much they mean to me.
